Kith invited Institute to support the launch of their latest collection at Maxfield LA. The goal was to mirror the Queens-inspired collection with an impactful space that hearkened back to Ronnie Fieg’s beloved Flushing Meadows Park.
At the center of the room, we created a 10’ Unisphere replica constructed from steel. And in honor of the borough’s diversity, we incorporated the national flags of each country affected by the recent travel ban placed around the perimeter, as a subtle gesture of solidarity. Deconstructed elements of grass and water from the old World fair site were also placed in design cues around the space - creating an artful reinterpretation that was sensible to the gallery space.
